Black Rubber Tile Production Details

The Production Journey: From Raw Material to Finished Tile

  1. Precision Compounding & Mixing

The process begins with raw rubber granule and glue. In our industrial mixers, these materials are blended with other additions. This critical step ensures uniform density and material properties throughout the batch.

  2. Molding & Forming

The mixed compound is then weighed and transferred into molds. Using compression molding techniques, the material is shaped under high pressure to form the tile’s specific dimensions and surface texture (e.g., flat, studded, or interlocking patterns).

  3. Vulcanization: The Key to Durability

The molded tiles enter a vulcanization press, where they are cured under controlled heat and pressure. This chemical process (often using sulfur) creates cross-links between the rubber molecules, transforming the soft compound into a tough, elastic, and long-lasting final product. It significantly enhances abrasion resistance and dimensional stability.

  4. Cooling, Trimming & QC

After vulcanization, the tiles are cooled to set their properties. They undergo rigorous finishing, including trimming of excess flash and thorough inspection for surface defects, thickness tolerance, and hardness. Only tiles passing our quality control checks are approved for packaging and shipment.
