Made by compression moulding from high‑density SBR rubber with optional EPDM flecks top layer, these puzzle tiles lock together securely without glue. Available in 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 40mm and 50mm thickness, they provide excellent shock absorption, noise suppression and slip resistance for weightlifting and high‑intensity training.
Advantages of Molded Interlock Edges vs Cut Interlock Edges
1. Consistent dimensional tolerance
The puzzle interlock is formed directly during compression moulding. Tiles fit together evenly with minimal gaps. For cut tiles, cutting blade wear and rubber rebound cause inconsistent sizing, leading to uneven seams.
2. Stronger interlock, less breakage
The interlock profile is one-piece with the tile, rubber fibres remain continuous. It resists cracking or chipping at the joint root under heavy impact from barbell drops and repeated disassembly. On cut tiles, the interlock edge is a cut surface with broken rubber fibres; the notch is the weakest point and prone to tearing.
3. Low dust & particle shedding
Molded edges are fully compacted. Cut exposed cross-sections are loose-structured and tend to shed rubber and EPDM granules with friction.
4. Better flatness & anti-shift performance
Uniform locking geometry ensures full engagement. The floor stays tightly connected when gym equipment is dragged or rolled over the surface. Cut tiles often have poorly matched notches that come apart easily.
5. Uniform batch appearance
All tiles share identical puzzle shape, delivering a neat, high-end finish required for commercial gyms, schools and European branded projects.
